Unfortunately, it has been left exposed to the elements for far too long -- the sun, in particular, has bleached the vitality of the color out of it. A lesson learned. This picture, unfortunately, also has significant glare issues. Suckage!

Poppies19 viewsI have no idea where this painting went to. It has a sort of dreamlike quality to it that I wish I could recreate -- the blue of the sky, the red of the poppies, the figures in the middle distance. I remember painting that sky -- a blend of french ultramarine and really high quality cobalt blue scumbled vividly together. If you find someone with this painting, please have them give me a ring, eh?
